Pedro Miguel Coelho Nuno was born on 17 April 1981. He began his musical studies at the age of 14 at the Sociedade Filarmónica Gualdim Pais Music School with professor Bruno Graça and later studied at the Choral Phydellius with professor Luís Gomes. In September 1999 he went to Covilhã to attend the Escola Profissional de Artes da Beira Interior, studying the clarinet with professors Luís Gomes and Nuno Antunes.
In 2002 he joined the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, again studying the clarinet, this time with professor Etienne Lamaison.
He has attended several advanced courses with such renowned soloists as Karl Leister, Guy Deplus, Paul Meyer, Enrique Perez Piquer, Andrew Simon, Alain Damiens, Hakan Rosengren, Alberto Ferrer, António Saiote, Nuno Silva, Carlos Alves, Rui Martins, etc.
He has played with the following orchestras: APROARTE (professional schools orchestra), OPEM (Portuguese music schools orchestra), OAM (Orquestra Académica Metropolitana), Nova Música, Templários Wind Orchestra, European Union Wind Orchestra, World Wind Orchestra (invited since 2001), Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, and various other orchestral groups.He has worked with conductors such as Ernest Schelle, Jan Cober, Alfred Reed, H.Robert Reynolds, António Saiote, Johann Mosenbichler, Alberto Roque, Jean Marc Burfin, Vicente Soler Solano, Marc Tardue, Joana Carneiro and Michael Zilm.He has participated in music festivals alongside names such as Maria João Pires, Mário Laginha, Maria João, etc.
He has participated in a jazz workshop given by João Moreira and Pedro Moreira.
He finished his degree in 2007 in the course of orchestral musician in the class of Professor Etienne Lamaison, developing artistic projects of several styles. He is soloist a of clarinet in the Orquestra do Algarve (previous Orquestra do Algarve).
