This cycle of three concerts that will take place at the Teatro das Figuras Foyer, in Faro, proposes a series of "musical dialogues". Dialogues between artists, between musicians and the public, but also dialogues between different chamber formations, covering different styles.
Two of the concerts will feature guest musicians who play instruments not included in a classical orchestra formation - the piano and the guitar.
Rui Mourinho will explore the possibilities of the classic guitar in the classical world, with compositions by Boccherini and Tedesco, and Gabriela Canavilhas proposes a dialogue with the OCS musicians based on the quintet for piano and strings written by one of the most important Portuguese composers - João Domingos Bomtempo.
Another dialogue will occur between a String Quintet and a Wind Quintet that, in the manner of a wandering about the theme of Arias and Dances, will present us a programme with pieces by Ottorino Respighi, Ferenc Farkas and Jean Françaix.
