#OAOrquestra
To celebrate World Music Day, marked by St Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians, the Algarve Orchestra welcomes the conductor Diogo Costa for a sparkling concert featuring two masterpieces from the first Romanticism. On the one hand, you'll be treated to the second symphony by João Domingos Bomtempo, the first Portuguese romantic, who gained great fame during his time and whose music continues to shine two hundred years later. The programme will also feature another of the leading romantics of the same generation, the German Felix Mendelssohn, with his "Italiana" symphony, written just nine years after Bomtempo's composition. All in all, a programme full of impetus and symphonic colour for the greater glory of music and for all those who love it!
